  • -blue or black pen
  • -silent reading book
  • -any reading work that the student may be having difficulty with in reading class or questions about work being done in class

Objectives to be covered this month:

  • -Use context clues to determine word meaning
  • -Practice and apply the cloze technique
  • -Draw and support a conclusion using details from the story
  • -Make and support inferences with information from the text
  • -Select and use relevant information to support answers
  • -Make personal connections to the text using outside experiences and knowledge

Homework:

  • -Read for enjoyment for 20 minutes every day.
  • -Discuss what you read with a parent or friend.
  • -Learn a new vocabulary word every day.
