GRADING SYSTEM
Numerical grades are given for all subjects. In some situations, letter grades listed below may be given.
P = Passing F = Failing (Below 70 is Failing)
I = Incomplete X = Medical Excuse

1st Marking Period
Progress Reports............................. October 9
Marks Close.................................... November 5
Report cards sent home.................... November 14
2nd Marking Period
Progress Reports............................. December 18
Marks close.................................... January 23
Report cards sent home.................... February 2
(including 1st Trimester Unified Arts grades)
3rd Marking Period
Progress Reports............................. March 11
Marks Close.................................... April 6
Report cards sent home.................... April 22
(including 2nd Trimester Unified Arts grades)
4th Marking Period
Progress Reports.............................. May 22
Marks close..................................... June 18
(or one week before close of school)
Report cards sent home.................... Last day of school
(including 1st Trimester Unified Arts grades)
Report cards will be issued four times. The report card is only one method of reporting grades. You may call the school at any time to make an appointment to speak with a teacher or school counselor concerning your child’s progress.
PROGRESS REPORTS
Progress reports may be sent home midway through the marking period or when necessary to inform parents of academic status. These reports indicate your child’s progress.
Students should make up incomplete grades within one week of the date marks close. It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements with the teacher to complete missed assignments. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, the students must comply with the above.
