Welcome students and families! My name is Julie Ayer and I am the school counselor for the following teams:

Sixth Grade: Purple Team

Seventh Grade: Yellow Team - Nappi, Mark and Brown homerooms

Eighth Grade: Evergreen Team 

Mrs. Ayer's Background

As a counselor new to Swift Middle School I am excited to begin working with students and families to help each child reach their full potential.  Throughout the year I will be interacting with students through individual meetings, small groups and classroom developmental guidance lessons on topics such as: study skills, conflict resolution, decision making and career exploration.  For the past four years I worked as a school counselor at Amity High School in Woodbridge, CT.  Prior to my experience at Amity I completed my year long internship as a sixth grade counselor at North Branford Intermediate School. Having longed to return to middle school counseling I am pleased to be assisting the sixth and seventh grade students with their transition to the middle school and am eager to work with the eighth grade students as they embark on their final year at Swift.
