l. To be considered for membership a student must make honors all four marking periods - three of which must be first honors. The student must also maintain a first honor average in the academic subjects for at least 3 of the 4 marking periods. The list of potential candidates is reviewed by the faculty.

2. Beyond scholarship, inductees must also meet and maintain the standards of character, leadership, citizenship, and service that are stressed by the National Junior Honor Society. The rating scale for the five traits is provided by the National Council.

l. To continue membership in the Honor Society a student must achieve Honor Roll status (lst or 2nd) each marking period. In addition, he must achieve honors (lst or 2nd) in the academic subjects each marking period. In the event a member fails to achieve honors in a given marking period he/she will be placed on probation and notified in writing thereof. The student must then maintain honors (lst or 2nd) three of the four remaining marking periods. Failure to meet those standards will result in exclusion from the Honor Society.

2. Members are expected to attend all scheduled meetings unless previously excused by the advisor. Excessive absenteeism will result in the member being placed on probationary status. Failure to meet these standards will result in exclusion from the Honor Society. (A student can only serve one probation period.)
