HOMEWORK POLICY
Homework is an integral part of student learning. Teachers at Swift assign homework on a regular basis. Failing to complete homework assignments will result in a lowering of a student’s grades and possible failure in that class.
STANDARDS FOR WRITTEN WORK
It is important for students to develop good habits and a healthy attitude toward school work. They should take pride in their school work and give it their best effort.
In an attempt to improve both the appearance and quality of the written work of students, we have adopted some minimum standards and procedures that all students are expected to follow. The guidelines noted below are minimum requirements. Each teacher may have other procedures and standards that are expected from students and, of course, students are expected to do their best to comply.
Written work that does not meet the requirements of the teacher will be deemed UNACCEPTABLE and the student will have to rewrite the assignment. If the work is not turned in to the teacher in proper form within the time designated by the teacher, the student may end up with a failing grade on that particular paper.
• The student’s name, date, and section are to be written in the upper right-hand corner.
• Papers must be neat and legible.
* Keep straight margins on left and right sides.
* Papers may be folded only once.
• All answers to subjective questions and essays will be done in complete sentences.
• When papers are to be done in ink, use only blue or black ink.
• Math work is to be completed in pencil only. (NOT colored pencils)
• Written work should be done on standard white or yellow lined paper, as specified by the teacher.
