Welcome to Navy Team Reading Class!

The main objective of reading class is for the students to learn and practice a variety of
skills and strategies to help them better understand both fiction and non-fiction text.

In reading class, we use texts that include:
 The Language of Literature textbook with short stories, drama, poetry and brief non-fiction pieces;
 Novels as found in the language arts curriculum;
 Practice CMT material used to prepare for the CMT tests; 
 Textbooks from social studies and science class;
 Reference material and
 Web sites from the Internet. 

We also have a newly revised updated Language Arts Curriculum guide with quarterly assessments to help us gauge student learning. These assessments, along with daily class work, tests, quizzes, projects and homework all help us to measure student success.
