Course Goals 
The primary purpose of 7th Grade S.S. is
to contribute effectively to the development
of informed, socially competent citizens 
 who are equipped with a knowledge
and an appreciation of our world.

 

Geography - is the study of the earth
                        and the people on it.

 

 We use 5 Themes of Geography
to
explore our world 
and
to examine many unique cultures.

The 5 Themes of Geography are: 
Location 
Place
Culture
 Movement
 Region 
 

 

 

  

Assessments and Evaluation

Notice of upcoming quizzes, tests, and projects
will always be posted well in advance.

A study guide will be offered to students
prior to Unit (Summative) Assessments.
Note! A study guide is designed to highlight
unit key terms and topics.  
(Students are responsible to keep and review
 class notes in their own binder.)

Course evaluation is based on:
Summative Assessments (Tests/Projects)
Formative Assessments (Map Quiz/Facts Quiz)
Writing Assignments
