Mrs. Maria Druan

Welcome Seventh Graders!!

Classroom Rules

1. Class Begins When You Enter the Room. Upon entering the classroom, you must go to your assigned seat and prepare for class. There may be music playing, and directions for the class will be stated on the board in front of the room under the heading "Warm Up." There is no talking after the bell.

2. Homework is to be written on lined paper with three holes (no frayed edges). You must use pencil, and it must be neat and legible. Line 1: Your name; Line 2: Date, and Line 3: Class Period are to be written in the upper right corner. On the left side of the paper, write the page number of the assignment. You must show all work.

3. Classroom Atmosphere. Courtesy and respect are to be shown to all people in Room 123. There will be one speaker at a time, and all people will listen to the speaker. You must raise your hand when you have a question. Every person and every comment is important.

4. Consequences of Misbehavior. If you do not follow the rules, you will be issued an after school detention.  You may board the late bus, walk, or be transported by car. Transportation is to be arranged by parents prior to the detention. A detention form will be given.

5. Responsibility. You are responsible to bring materials to class and to prepare homework assignments on time. You must make every effort to make up missed work.

6. Grading is important to everyone. You will take at least one quiz for every topic or lesson covered; the lowest quiz grade is dropped. There will be a test for each chapter. The Grading Rationale is: Quizzes (60%); Tests (30%); and Homework/Responsibility (10%).

7. Comfort is of utmost importance. In order to learn, you need to be in a stress-free environment. You need to be prepared for learning and attentive at all times. Respect, responsibility and support will help you to learn.
