Rules
1. Arrive to class on time.
2. Come prepared for class. Have a pencil, pencil sharpener and eraser with you each day.
3. Be respectful of yourself, others and the art work of others.
4. Clean up before the bell rings.
Grades are based on the following: following directions, participation, cooperation, craftsmanship, personal ability and creativity.
All students have art class three times a week for twelve weeks. The art curriculum focuses on developing students' drawing, painting and sculpting skills. Students will have one major assessment in each of these areas. Students not only produce wonderful works of art but they also learn about art history, art criticism and aesthetics.
Students are currently studying the work of
Grant Wood.
They are creating a parody of Grant Wood's painting
American Gothic.
Drawing will be assessed on the following criteria:
1. Drawing: Portraits were proportional, recognizable, detailed & colored accurately.
2. Craftsmanship: Skillful use of all art media.
3. Effort: The amount of time it takes to develop the drawing.
4. Creativity: Objects coorespond with the theme of their work.
