SWIFT MIDDLE SCHOOL

FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE - 8th grade Sewing

Where did the 1st Trimester go?  Can you believe it?  We only have a week left in Sewing!!

The patchwork pillows are all done (well, almost all!?!).  Hopefully everyone is enjoying the rewards of all their hard work.  The color combinations were really great.

During this past week we have been working on our "Bedroom Redesign" project.  Finally we get to spend all that money we earned coming to class on time, being ready to work, bringing in catalogs & sale sheets, etc.  Congratulations to Mallory, Rocco, Amy, Aimee, Aydin, Eddie, Marisa, and Amanda who earned over $400!! WOW!!  And our top earners were Noel and Tevin who earned over $500!!!  They must be having fun spending all that money!  REMINDER - Presentation Boards are due Monday, November 24, 2008.  The presentation boards will be on display, after Thanksgiving break, in the hallway outside of Room 150.  Please stop by and take a look.

If your child wants to continue sewing at home, please have them talk to me about what sewing supplies are necessary to start with! I encourage more sewing but I don't want to see anyone spend a lot of money on supplies!
