Peer Mediators
Kids helping kids. Students are trained in peer mediation skills to facilitate in a student disagreement.

What is it?
Peer Mediators are a group of dedicated students who are willing to help others. They are trained to help students in conflict (or disagreement) to solve their own problem. This program is open to all seventh and eighth grade students at Swift who have good character and show RESPONSIBILITY.

How does it work?
Peer Mediation gives students in conflict a chance to sit face to face and talk uninterrupted, so that each side of the story is heard. Students who are trained in peer mediation skills facilitate this. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Mediator, you will need to fill out an application and then be interviewed. Once a Peer Mediator you will be trained in mediation skills.
